Peyton Smith

Peyton Smith is the owner, operator and pizza maker of Mission Pizza Napoletana in Winston-Salem, N.C. Smith is a 2022 James Beard Award nominee as a semifinalist for Best Chef Southeast. His restaurant has been listed on the 50 Top Pizza USA rankings in 2021, 2022 and 2023. Founded on Peyton’s desire to “be the restaurant he wanted to see in the world” and operated according to his unique, non-traditional approach, Mission Pizza Napoletana has since become one the best pizza restaurants in America and the standard bearer for Pizza Napoletana in the Southeastern United States.
