A New Brunswick-based culinary director, Jackie Mazza blends artistry and expertise honed at the Art Institute of New York City, where she earned degrees in Culinary Arts, Restaurant Management, and Baking & Pastry. Her career began with a flourish as Executive Pastry Chef at The Frog and the Peach, followed by her role as Head Baker at ScratchBREAD in NYC.
Returning to her roots, she founded Knead…Baked Goods through Elijah’s Promise, mentoring students while supplying artisanal breads to local icons like Destination Dogs, Agricola, and The Frog and the Peach. In 2018, she redefined New Brunswick’s dining scene with Fatto Americano, a neo-Neapolitan pizza bar celebrated for its bold flavors.
Today, as Culinary Director of DHS Hospitality, she oversees seven thriving concepts—including Clydz, Dee Dee’s Pizza, and Tavern on George—melding innovation with operational excellence. A familiar face on Beat Bobby Flay, Cutthroat Kitchen, and Restaurant Startup, her pretzels earned rare praise from Joe Bastianich as “the best I’ve ever had.” Beyond the kitchen, Jackie is a passionate advocate for culinary education, dedicating herself to mentoring peers and fostering the next generation of talent.
