Aja “Lynn” Humphreys, a proud Chicago native, is a rising restaurateur in a city known for its legendary pizza scene. Her journey into the culinary world began in 2023 when she and her boyfriend/business partner, Chef Brandon Bruner, decided to make a deep-dish pizza for a cozy dinner date at home. What started as a delicious meal quickly turned into a bold idea—launching their own pizza business. Lynn’s Chicago Pizza began as a small home-based operation before evolving into a thriving virtual restaurant that offered pop-ups and deliveries. As word spread and a loyal following grew, the business skyrocketed, leading to the opening of its first brick-and-mortar location in late summer 2024. Since then, Lynn’s Chicago Pizza has captured the attention of local and national media, esteemed podcasts, and social media influencers. Beyond serving up great pizza, Aja Lynn is dedicated to building a sense of community through her restaurant. She has transformed the space into a hub for engaging events, including open mic nights, movie and game nights, and karaoke. In addition to her work as a restaurateur, she serves as the Director of Student Activities at one of Chicago’s community colleges, further demonstrating her passion for bringing people together. With a love for food, community, and creativity, Aja Lynn is making her mark on Chicago’s vibrant restaurant scene—one slice at a time.
